Vanessa Vincente joined the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University in the fall of 2011. She received her B.S. degree in meteorology at Valparaiso University in May 2011. Currently, she is working with Dr. Russ Schumacher on studying numerical model performance associated with precipitation along the Front Range of Colorado. In addition, she is examining how emergency managers along the Front Range use weather information to lead their decision-making during hazardous weather. Vanessa's career interests include improving weather communication and understanding, developing learning resources for use by educators, and engaging in various community outreach activities.
